A maniac named Art the Clown terrorizes two friends on Halloween and anyone who gets in his way. David Howard Thornton was the sixth person to audition for Art The Clown after Mike Giannelli backed out of the role and did a full-on act. During the audition, he started by miming tasting his decapitated victim’s blood, but then added salt to improve the taste. This is what landed him the role. In shots where Tara is gagged with duct tape, the tape is clearly not making contact with the bottom of her mouth in some earlier shots, while it is tightly wrapped around both of her lips in other shots. EMT Roman: How can you eat a greasy croissant while you’re cutting up dead bodies? Coroner: Honey, I’ve been doing this for twenty-two years, okay? Once you’ve seen an eight-month-old die in a microwave… everything else is child’s play. There is a heavily edited version on YouTube that removes the graphic violence and gore, as well as the nudity. Edited in Terrifier 2 (2022). I’ll give it a try. Written and performed by Thanks. Yes, there is almost no plot and it is very nihilistic and gratuitous, but it makes up for it with a truly disturbing villain and some very well done and incredibly brutal gore effects. The acting is spot on. Nothing amazing, but perfectly acceptable. Much better than what you usually get in a low budget horror movie these days. This is not a genre-defining movie, but it is a fun throwback to the old days when unstoppable silent killers terrorized people for arbitrary reasons. Art the Clown, Pennywise, and Killer Klowns are just a few of the comical creatures that give us goosebumps. Check out the scariest clowns to ever grace the screen.
