Honestly, the whole time I was watching the show, I had the feeling it belonged on the SyFy channel. I’ve heard that to understand this series you have to read the book, so maybe that’s why the story just didn’t seem rich or engaging (because I found myself getting distracted by everything around me, and that’s what happens when my attention span is off).

Unfortunately, I think this falls into the category of more recent shows like Rings of Power (which I think is better)

While you can tell the production value was great, it just doesn’t seem to be up to the MAX, especially with their other huge hits.

Media pundit Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos.. Colman Domingo's first leading TV role.. I enjoyed the start of the series, but I believe the ending fell a bit flat for me. The series attempted to wrap up the storylines in a more positive way but struggled to find a solid ending. There are episodes that could've been cut. It felt like a chore to watch episodes 6-7. I enjoyed the message especially living in this extremely polarizing climate. I would like a 2nd season if they can improve on the writing/plot but if this is truly just a limited series then I think they missed the mark and that's why I gave it a 7. It left me wanting more, but I'm unsure if it's because this season deserves another season or because I feel bad for them and want to give them a second chance.
