Today on the tests an unusual thing is a monobrand computer MSI. Almost everything in the system is built on the components of one company: it is a case, a motherboard, a video card, and even a processor cooling system. Design

Side lids are unusually decorated. More precisely, the usual materials are metal and hardened glass – but the sidewalls are made as if flickering with the entire body. This effect was achieved by the fact that the cover holds the upper panel: you must first unscrew and remove it, and then pull the sidewalls upward.

Otherwise, everything is standard. The compartment for the power supply is hidden under a plastic cover, all the metal faces inside are normally processed, and the compartments for the drives here are four pieces. Under the roof there are places for fans with a diameter of up to 140 mm, but all the ventilation holes – from above, from below and front – are covered with alloy nets on magnets.

Iron

Now on the iron. In the base lies Ryzen 7 3800XT. Of course, I would like to see 5800X here, but today you won’t find them in the afternoon with fire. However, the used model is more than peppy: eight nuclei and sixteen streams. Yes, they are connected by the Infinity Fabris bus and depend on the memory frequency, but they work at high frequencies. Compared to the usual XT XT XT XT, it added 200 MHz and can rise to 4.7 GHz at a single or two-way load.

There are nothing unusual in the basic parameters – these are three 120 mm fans for top COOs and a healthy radiator of 360 mm long. However, there are still some interesting solutions, and they concern the pump.

Firstly, it does not stand over the processor, as is customary, but transferred to the radiator. According to MSI itself, in this way, mobile mechanisms were taken from the heat source – processor – and in theory they extended their life. So or not, it is useless to guess: the advantages or disadvantages will appear only at a long distance. But if MSI is right, then this is very good, because a broken pump is, as a rule, "goodbye, dear SJO".

Motherboard

The next motherboard. MSI logically used B550 chipset. “Logical” – because, taking into account that Ryzen does not really chase, there is no much sense to run for X570 even on top computers. The main features of the senior AMD chipsets are in the speed of the lines, to which the South Bridge is connected and, accordingly, all USB and SATA. But at the same time, the B550 is much more flexible in assembling the funded part, since it is allowed to collect RAID from two NVME X2.

This, by the way, was implemented on Meg B550 Unify. The board has four slots for SSD in the formfactor m.2. Moreover, two of them sit on processor lines, and all connectors are covered with aluminum radiators. Naturally, power lines are also cooled, which are collected according to this scheme: fourteen – on the processor and two – as a keepsake. According to the rest of the strapping, everything is quite standard for this level of boards: the sixth WiFi and LAN at 2.5 Gb/s, four USB second and the same number of the third version on the input/output panel, HDMI, PS/2 and a full access to multi -channel acoustics. Video card

General impressions and tests

Now we will talk about performance and general impressions of the system. On the last point, we immediately note that the computer is incredibly quiet. We will not guess if the fans will get out in a year or two, but the new system does not make noise even under full load.
