Today on the tests an unusual thing is a monobrand computer MSI. Almost everything in the system is built on the components of one company: it is a case, a motherboard, a video card, and even a processor cooling system. This assembly does not have a deep meaning – yes, it is powerful, almost top -end – but you can’t buy it in this form. But we can look at many new MSI and how they look within the same system.
Design
Let's start, as they say, with clothes, that is, from the body. This is Middle Tower called MPG Sekira 100r. The thing is not at all budget – 8500 rubles – but everything is done no worse than that of the same FRACTAL Design. This is a strict black box with slightly removed chamfers on the front panel and without any screaming inscriptions.
The front part is covered with a panel, cut in two. The upper half is made of polished metal, the lower one is made of hardened slightly darkened glass, under which the turntables of 120 mm are visible. Above, clearly at hand, all control and connectors are located. These are two standard USB 3.1 gen.1 and one Type-C, exits to the headset, power and reboot keys, as well as the backlighting button. It controls the entire anterior illumination, light bulbs on the rear turntable with a diameter of 120 mm and cooler on the processor.
Side lids are unusually decorated. More precisely, the usual materials are metal and hardened glass – but the sidewalls are made as if flickering with the entire body. This effect was achieved by the fact that the cover holds the upper panel: you must first unscrew and remove it, and then pull the sidewalls upward.
Otherwise, everything is standard. The compartment for the power supply is hidden under a plastic cover, all the metal faces inside are normally processed, and the compartments for the drives here are four pieces. Under the roof there are places for fans with a diameter of up to 140 mm, but all the ventilation holes – from above, from below and front – are covered with alloy nets on magnets.
Iron
Now on the iron. In the base lies Ryzen 7 3800XT. Of course, I would like to see 5800X here, but today you won’t find them in the afternoon with fire. However, the used model is more than peppy: eight nuclei and sixteen streams. Yes, they are connected by the Infinity Fabris bus and depend on the memory frequency, but they work at high frequencies. Compared to the usual XT XT XT XT, it added 200 MHz and can rise to 4.7 GHz at a single or two-way load.
Naturally, you have to pay for such frequencies: it is difficult to remove heat from the 7-nm crystal, and even AMD itself recommends using liquid cooling systems. MSI follows these wishes and uses its own COO called Mag Corelique 360r.
There are nothing unusual in the basic parameters – these are three 120 mm fans for top COOs and a healthy radiator of 360 mm long. However, there are still some interesting solutions, and they concern the pump.
Firstly, it does not stand over the processor, as is customary, but transferred to the radiator. According to MSI itself, in this way, mobile mechanisms were taken from the heat source – processor – and in theory they extended their life. So or not, it is useless to guess: the advantages or disadvantages will appear only at a long distance. But if MSI is right, then this is very good, because a broken pump is, as a rule, "goodbye, dear SJO".
The second point. Above the heating system MSI installed a rotating lid with a luminous logo. And this is a straight plus in MSI karma: often such systems do not get up perfectly evenly, and a small displacement relative to the straight lines of the rest of the iron is very striking. And then any deficiencies in the installation are ruled by the rotation of the lid.
Motherboard
The next motherboard. MSI logically used B550 chipset. “Logical” – because, taking into account that Ryzen does not really chase, there is no much sense to run for X570 even on top computers. The main features of the senior AMD chipsets are in the speed of the lines, to which the South Bridge is connected and, accordingly, all USB and SATA. But at the same time, the B550 is much more flexible in assembling the funded part, since it is allowed to collect RAID from two NVME X2.
This, by the way, was implemented on Meg B550 Unify. The board has four slots for SSD in the formfactor m.2. Moreover, two of them sit on processor lines, and all connectors are covered with aluminum radiators. Naturally, power lines are also cooled, which are collected according to this scheme: fourteen – on the processor and two – as a keepsake. By the way, under load the temperature on them is no more than 50 ° C.
According to the rest of the strapping, everything is quite standard for this level of boards: the sixth WiFi and LAN at 2.5 Gb/s, four USB second and the same number of the third version on the input/output panel, HDMI, PS/2 and a full access to multi -channel acoustics. It is served by a familiar chip Realtek Alc 1220 , which in MSI was enhanced by software from Nahimic.
Video card
The system is crowned quite rare now Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 In the version MSI Gaming X Trio. Honestly, we saw such a huge video card for the last time, probably in the era of two -chip boards. Its length is 323 mm with thickness 56. For comparison: RTX 2080 Super is shorter by 5.6 and 2 cm. So that such a thunder does not fall in the case, a special bar is placed in the kit with X Trio, which occupies three neighboring slots and does not allow 3070 to bend.
Naturally, the board scored such dimensions due to the cooling system. In the back, the textile is covered by a thick stiffener plate of graphene. Classic radiator: three large blocks of thin plates through which six heat pipes pass. On the processor, the design is based directly, without intermediate bases. Well, the memory and power chains are in contact with the radiator through thermal layers.
The system is blown by three turntables Torx Fan 4.0 with strange paired blades. According to MSI, they distribute streams more effectively, but, it seems to us, it is much more important that the turntables with a diameter of 90 mm, and they are not heard even during the game.
As for the main characteristics, they are ordinary: this is a new ampeere with an incredible amount of CUDA nuclear, an enhanced RT unit and a redesigned tensor nuclei system, which are responsible for DLSS. Video memory costs 8 GB, and this is last year GDDR6 at a standard frequency of 14 GHz. But the MSI processor dispersed. Instead of a standard Boost-frequency of 1725 MHz, 1835 are declared, which in practice can reach up to 2025 MHz-depending on the load on the chip.
For other components, everything is simple. Memory scored 32 GB with a rather low Ryzen frequency of 2667 MHz. Well, the drive was put by SSD at 1 TB at a speed of 5 GB/s.
General impressions and tests
Now we will talk about performance and general impressions of the system. On the last point, we immediately note that the computer is incredibly quiet. We will not guess if the fans will get out in a year or two, but the new system does not make noise even under full load.

But personally, the backlight comes in, and in such monobrand solutions it looks most interesting: the case, the motherboard, the video card, the fans, the processor, and even the memory from Corsair support the system Mystic Light and must be controlled centrally. "Must" because there are reservations.
Corps and SIO are really friends with each other. Moreover, on the case there is even a switching key of RGB mode, but it does not affect the memory and video card. A company program is responsible for their backlighting Dragon Center , in which you can combine color with other components. Why it works just that way – we don’t know, but in the case of a static color it looks quite cool.
The next moment is temperature. Everything is very decent in games. The video card has never risen above 69 ° C, and the processor, as a rule, dangled in the region of 65. In the working programs, the situation has changed. In 3DS Max, the stone reached 80 ° C, and under Prime95 – up to 89.
Now as for games. Of course, we would like to say that this is a computer for all occasions where you can put any resolution and twist everything to the maximum, but not everyone will like this definition. 4K and ultra-building here are suitable only for those who for the sake of a steep picture are ready for 35-40 fps. For adherents “only 60 frames and no less, otherwise you can’t play” this assembly would become an ideal car for QHD.
In this resolution below 60 FPS, not a single game from our standard list fell. Even Valhalla And Metro: Exodus showed 66 and 74 frames without microfrisis noticeable to the eye. True, with reitreing the situation is the same as with 4K. Metro when the correct light and reflections is turned on, up to 53 frames, and Watch Dogs: Legion – Until 39.
As a result, let's say the following. As for the motherboard and video cards, it is generally difficult to be surprised, since MSI has been engaged in these areas for a very long time and, in terms of performance, is confidently kept in the three leaders.
But the company really surprised its body and cooling system. A year ago, such products from MSI were perceived as some image pieces that created in order to collect such monobrand systems. Now these are really high -quality devices that are able to compete with market leaders.
