The biggest problem is that it lacks sympathetic characters like the original. Adam & Barbera was soon established and was the catalyst for what was to follow. The absence of such characters in the 2024 version means that the audience is missing the catalyst with any reason to invest and care about any of the shallow characterizations aside from Bob.

Keaton, Ryder and O’Hara are criminally underused and struggling with a weak script, my cinema was silent as people shuffled towards the doors and similarly quietly shuffled. I sincerely hope you get something out of the film, but lower your expectations before the lights go dark.
