All in all it was fine, but the kid was so annoying that I was mostly annoyed and didn’t care what happened to him. It felt half-baked for the most part and not something I’ll probably ever watch again because it’s relatively joyless. There is nothing to attract you. It falls into the same category as films like The Hole in the Ground, which try to recapture what made The Babadook successful, but offer nothing particularly convincing. I’d say it’s perfectly fine to watch… on a Sunday afternoon in October 2024, but I can’t see it having much appeal.. The "What We Do in the Shadows" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our October calendar for more information!
